Place 4 x 40-foot pre-fabricated shipping containers together & reconfigure them into a T shape with solar gain and passive orientation as key layouts. The concept of @containercabinbythecoast is realised!

The containers were craned into position onto poured concrete pads with screw pile footings. This resulted in minimal soil disturbance within a beautiful coastal woodland landscape.

A high BAL-40 rating zone on Wadawurrung Country called for Miglas double-glazed window systems. A 10,000 ltr Kingspan water tank provides fire fighting supply & a 5000 ltr tank supplies filtered drinking water.

The laundry is a hard working sustainably focused compact zone featuring the Dotty Laundry lines installed as ceiling clotheslines.
Outside, a 5 line Folding Post & Fence clothesline has been installed on reclaimed red ironbark posts. The 40mm x 8mm flatbar brackets will stand up to salt & are fit for a BAL-40 rating.

The clothesline is aptly claiming to be successfully using solar & wind for drying purposes!
