Project Description
BORDER ST, BELONGIL
Private Residence
Belongil
Architectural Design: Workroom Design @workroom_design
Builder: Atlanta Building @atlantabuilding
Landscape Design: Eckersley Garden Architecture @eckersleygardenarchitecture
Installation: Stud mounted Folding Wall clothesline- unicotesteel vertical interlocking panels in Magnaflow Monolith as a garage/gym.
Described as one of the most magnificent projects ever completed by Atlanta Building, this residence exudes robust yet sophisticated &
unpretensious beachside living.
So much so that it is perched on the sand dunes adjacent to native littoral rainforest. With the property’s garden designed & installed by Eckersely Garden Architecture the seamless blending from the beach & rainforest to the built pavilions has purpose & poise.
Workroom Design sort only the most robust materials taking cues from the existing vegetation & beach site, positioning each pavilion to capture views of both.
The clients chose a Coastal Clothesline for this home with a specific ‘nook’ created in the side of the garage facing the littoral rainforest pocket and northerly sun.
Stud mounted into Unicote steel panels the marine grade 316 folding wall clothesline is part of a suite of durable materials. Selected to stand the test of time against the northerly salt spray of Belongil Beach, the folding wall clothesline is discreet & stylish.
We were honoured to be a part of such an incredible project featured in The Local Project as Border Street by Workroom.
