Nothing prepares you for the simple yet breathtaking depth of Ronnoco Farm.
Commanding a superb position on a Byron Bay hinterland ridgeline, architect firm, Polly Harbison Design has created an enduring home, one that captures seamless views through every room. The expansive vistas are framed with basalt walls and acacia timber sliders, ancient timber pergolas and mature palms. Off-form concrete pillars are incredibly textured showcasing expert use of timber formwork. Basalt stone is the star of the show and has been expertly laid by the best in the business Hartnett and Sons Stonemasons.
Glass, concrete & timber meld beautifully within this edifice, softening it’s command. Todd Knaus and the TK Construction team lead by Project lead, Johnno have created one of Australia’s most exceptional homes.
A Coastal Clothesline stainless steel 6 line Wall clothesline has been fixed into the north east facing basalt garage wall.
Large chunks of basalt acting as stepping stones and a mix of native planting enhance the clothes drying perimeter. The entire garden has a myriad of micro-ecosystems from high winds to subtropical bunker-type gullies and hotter zones yet pops with maturity & movement.
An outstanding property to withstand the test of time and one that we are very humbled to have been specified for.
